Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin asked me to design a piece of furniture or everyday object for their DIY-issue.

HL 01 is a pendant light which creates the shape by itself. A fabric is stretched to a smooth surface on top and gathered to a crinkly volume on the lower part. The fabric generates a comfortable light and hide all handicraft work under a cover. DIY doesn't have to look like something build by yourself.

In the past issues Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius, Ai Weiwei, Ingo Maurer, Patricia Urquiola and many more designers and artists creates some DIY-projects for the readers of SZ-Magazin.
